  • Afterschool Drop In

    Drop ins will be available for all students beginning the week of October 9th. 2:45-4:15 ($32) 2:45-5:45 ($64) 4:15-5:00 ($15) 4:15-5:45 ($32) or 5:45-6:00 ($8) Registration must be received before the day of the drop-in. Parents are required to notify their child's classroom teacher that they will be attending after school on a particular day. This is particularly important if your child normally takes the school bus. Students will be placed in classes that have available seats - generally Let's Play, Game Time or Team Games. We can not honor requests for specific classes.

  • Afterschool Program

    PS 11 Programs Inc. was founded in 1997 by PTA members and parents of PS 11 students. PS 11 Programs Inc. is not affiliated with the New York City Department of Education. It is a not-for-profit Community Based Organization that works in partnership with PS 11 to provide academic support and enrichment opportunities to students every school day from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Our program serves over 750 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. The program offers 2 sessions of classes each day from 2:45-4:15 and from 4:15-5:45 pm. There are a variety of activities designed to give your child a well-rounded experience in our program, which will help them develop physically, academically and socially. The activities offered include art, music, theater, sports, dance, computers and more. Children are grouped by age (K-2nd, 3rd-5th), and sometimes by level and ability. Dismissal from the program is at 4:15 and 5:45. We also provide an “extended” dismissal at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 pm to accommodate families’ work schedules. Children who are signed up for the 5:00 and 6:00 dismissals will not attend a class but will remain in the cafeteria for “choice time” including art, games, drawing/coloring, etc.. A limited number of seats are available for this and the dismissal time will be strictly enforced. Our program is fee-based and the cost is $24 per session, 2:45-4:15 session 1, and 4:15 - 5:45, session 2. We do offer a reduced rate of $16 if your family meets the federal guidelines for free lunch. Full and partial scholarships are also available. Snack is provided from 4:00-4:15.

  • Extended Dismissal

    The first session of afterschool ends at 4:15, the 2nd session at 5:45 pm. We will offer extended dismissals for session 1 from 4:15-5:00 and for session 2 from 5:45-6:00 pm. All students must be registered in advance for this extended dismissal. Children will not participate in a class during this time but will have a range of activities to choose from including art, drawing/coloring, games, etc. A limited number of seats are available and the dismissal time will be strictly enforced. The cost for the 1st session extension from 4:15-5:00 is $12.00/$8.00 if you meet the federal income guidelines for free lunch. For the 2nd session extension from 5:45-6:00, the cost is $6.00.

  • Financial Assistance

    Please complete this registration form if you are applying for financial assistance for the 2023-2024 Afterschool Program. Once we approve this contract, we will send you the promo code to register for classes. You will enter this promo code on the registration website for the Fall 2023 semester beginning Monday, September 11, 2023. You will enter the promo code AFTER you have selected the classes that you want.

  • March Half Day

    Thursday, March 7th is scheduled to be a half-day. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:30 am. We will provide a half-day field trip to Ferox Ninja Park, an indoor adventure park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The cost for the day (11:30-5:00) is $140.00 which includes the cost of admission to Ferox Ninja Park. We will plan to leave PS 11 at 12:00 and travel to Brooklyn via subway. We will return by 4:00. All students must be picked up between 4:00-5:00. We have very limited financial assistance available and will need to charge at least the cost of admission ($30) to the Park.   • November Half Day

    Thursday, November 2nd is scheduled to be a half-day. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:30 am. We will provide a half-day field trip to Area53, an indoor adventure park in Williamsburgh. Students will be able to choose from a number of activities throughout the afternoon: roller skating, rock climbing, laser beam, ropes course, zip lining and more. The cost for the day (11:30-5:00) is $140.00 which includes the cost of admission to Area53. We will plan to leave PS 11 at 12:00 and travel to Brooklyn on the L train. We will return by 4:00. All students must be picked up between 4:00-5:00. We have very limited financial assistance available and will need to charge at least the cost of admission to the Adventure Park.   • Summer Camp

    Summer Camp - NOW 7 WEEKS! Summer Camp at PS 11 will run from Monday, July 1st - Friday, August 16th (no camp July 4 & 5th) from 9:00-5:00 pm. We are hard at work creating an enriching, fun-filled, robust camp that will keep your kids active and engaged. We will have more information available soon about other activities, field trips and partnerships. The rates for camp are as follows: July 1-July 3, 2024: $350/$210* July 8-August 16, 2024: 1 week – $650/$390 2 weeks – $1200/$720 3 weeks – $1725/$1035 4 weeks – $2200/$1320 5 weeks – $2625/$1575 6 weeks - $3000/$1800 *
* Lower rate applies if you meet federal income guidelines for free lunch A 10% discount will be applied for all registrations received by March 15th. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a seat and to receive the discount. Financial assistance applications will be approved on April 15th.
